The Art of Eco-Friendly Glamping: Inside Lodges Australia’s Sustainable Approach

A romantic get-away or an active family outing- build memories that last.

We’re lucky to be living in a country with an abundance of nature and space. Yet, like anywhere else in the world, it is of utmost importance that we save our resources for future generations.

With our Crossover Lodge, we offer a sustainable alternative to traditional holiday homes like built structures. The lodges can always be removed without leaving a trace. The nature-inspired colours blend in beautifully with any surroundings and the lodges have a low impact on the landscape.

The Crossover Lodge benefits local business owners in rural areas as this is where most lodges are based.

We aim to set up our lodges in a sustainable way. Off the grid means that we will leave the smallest possible ecological footprint by offering alternatives to electricity and sewage.

Highly recommended is the use of solar panels to provide electricity. We partner with experienced suppliers who can consult you on the best possible solutions for your lodges. Our high efficiency indoor fireplaces are another example of eco-friendly alternatives. Rainwater tanks to run bathrooms and kitchens on, are facilitated with the set-up of our lodges. And we have possibilities to make the toilets in the lodges fully compostable.

While the basic structure of our lodges is imported from Europe, it is packaged in such a way that it occupies minimum airspace. Where possible, the furnishings for our lodges are sourced in Australia and the amenities are of the biodynamically farmed South Australian Jurlique brand.
